LAMDA Exams
Speech and Drama exams via the London School of Music and Dramatic Arts have been very popular for many years. We offer online tuition with qualified LAMDA specialists in both the Performance and Communication disciplines.
The Performance Syllabus covers LAMDA Acting Exams from Entry to Grade 8. Pupils perform both modern and classic texts. They study the theory behind developing characters as well as skills of voice, movement and stagecraft. The Communications Syllabus covers LAMDA exams in Verse and Prose as well as Speaking in Public and are very popular for those wishing to develop their presentational skills and can also be taken to Grade 8.
Verse and Prose exams start with Introductory grades for very young pupils up to the most challenging medal grades which carry UCAS points. These exams support the English curriculum and help children analyse poetry and text whilst also teaching them performance skills to lift words off the page.
Public Speaking Grades are perfect for giving pupils the ability to conduct their own presentations. They will learn how to research, structure and write their own speeches as well as how to present including visual aids. Speaking in public helps improve confidence, knowledge of subjects and is a highly sought skill in the workplace.
Held online via Zoom and tailored to the individual timetable of the child.
